AUTHENTIC FRENCH DINING IN THE HEART OF LEICESTER

HEAD OVER TO CAFÉ ROUGE THIS SUMMER TO EXPERIENCE THEIR NEW LOOK AND NEW MENU.

The popular French bistro in the Highcross Shopping Centre has undergone a transformation in time for summer. The new exterior design includes an al fresco-style terrace which is perfect for dining outside in the summer months, whilst feasting on dishes from the brand new mouth-watering menu.

3The changes which have been applied across the Café Rouge restaurant chain aims to offer diners a more relaxed dining experience. The restaurant still retains the signature brand of authentic French dining by serving food throughout the day, including a range of delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

Café Rouge was first launched in the UK in 1989, catering for all kinds of occasions by offering a selection of dishes to tantalise a variety of taste buds. With the aim to give diners the perfect experience anytime and every time they visit, the restaurant offers a menu to cater for morning breakfast meetings, lunch with friends, family dinners and romantic meals.

The bistro in the heart of the city prides itself on extending a warm welcome to everyone that enters through the doors. The additional menu, ‘Menu Rapide,’ makes the establishment perfect for business meets by providing perfect sized portions of starters, mains and desserts.

3-0Ian Hill, General Manager, describes how the interior went through a process of modernisation: “Café Rouge was perceived by some as old fashioned and didn’t appeal to everyone, I believe the menu now, as well as the product, appeals to everyone and the new menu is great for kids.”

With new comfortable seating inside and outside of the restaurant, this is one of the many positive changes made to ensure a high quality experience for diners, “People are drawn to the heat lamps at night,” shares Ian Hill, “making it a delightful place to sit for some al fresco dining or for sharing a bottle of wine or coffee at any time of the day. The attention that has been put on the design of the outside seating area has been argued to be the best in Highcross.”
